Seafoam Or Similar

has anybody here ever used seafoam or a similar product. It's used quite a bit by the guys in the states to clean the intake valves that get filled up with gunk...

I think its quite common in direct injection cars.. hence the need for a catch tank..

Thanks for that mate... I have just managed to find on eBay... apparently you have to remove the air filter... Does that sound about right?

I haven't used this myself and thought that you used it like Seafoam, introducing it via the intake manifold.

IMO introducing it via the air filter route on a GTi means that it'll first go to your turbo then probably condense in your IC without actually reaching your intake valves.
