It's more the getting home having mullered them round the track and getting nicked for tread I'm worried about!

Nick
Bring a spare set of road legal ones?! Be plenty of hands around to put 'em on.

I've got two sets of wheels.

1 set of R888 cut slicks
1 set of Yoko Standard road tyres (for the wet)

Problem is the road tyres are on the legal limit and 1 session round Brands will kill them. I can't then drive home on the cut slicks if it's still raining!

If it's dry I can run the cuts and then pop the roads back on for the journey = Win!

Well the Golf passed the MOT but I'm skinter than I thought. I'm still coming but in the Rado as I need to save my tyres, brakes and any possible breakages for my fully paid up trackday at Silverstone on Tuesday.

Until you hit standing water on a motorway at 80! Problem with the MKII is it's very light and little downforce to push the tyres through the water.

r888's suck on the motorway, you get pulled all over the place in the lorry tracks. you have to be a twit and hog the middle lane
