It isnt faster than mine and i couldnt give two sh!ts about greener or how much the tax is, so it not an upgrade FOR ME

Bloody hell

I'm going to have to let this go here, winning seems to be important for you, just as it seems having a faster car is too as I said like for like without you getting a grasp of that basic statement. You win.

Didnt realize you made it some sort of competition? I was just telling you imo its not an upgrade, i can see now why you got so upset :lipsrsealed: Like for like the mk6 gti is a downgrade in every way conceivable for me, you cant even get the recaros i have and my standard xenons are an £1100 option

its only natural people start b!tchin about a newer model, it happened with the mk5 gti, i had it lots of jellous coments in 2005 but it didnt bother me its just a case of the green eyed devil. I did consider the mk5 and save 10k but their are a few chavs about in them now

If i allready had a mk5 i doubt i`d change it for a mk6,i agree there does not seem to be a massive difference between them, the mark 6 is probably a improved version of the mk5,thats just logical or why would they bother changing the model. this will be the First golf for me it just happens to be the mk6,one day along will come the mk7.mk5 mk6 both very good cars.

FFS HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT HAVE TO BE SAID THAT WE ARE NOT f**kING KNOCKING THE MK6 !!!!!!!!!

Right, you MK6 boys are really getting the wrong end of the stick

I have no issues with the MK6, I like it, I think its a really nice car and Id rather have a tubby over the V6 (due to mileage, which is why I bought a GTI and tuned it up rather than buying an R32). But for the considerable extra cost of having to purchase the MK6 there isnt really that much in it over the MK5 which is why I dont think many MK5 people will be looking to upgrade to it as its just not worth it. Looks are VERY similar, engine is VERY VERY similar, interior again VERY similar. Unless money is no object it just make sense to me to chop in the MK5 and have to fork out £12 on top to get it. Coming from any other MK of Golf is a different story.

I think I speak for the majority of MK5 owners with that comment.
