Gaz couldnt do it in the end, he had stuff going on and so did I.  I left it a little late and then he had to move house.  Oh well, putting together a plan B me thinks.

HELLO BUDDIES I'V JUST BEEN DOWN TO MY CAR AND THE WASHER JETS ARN'T SQUIRTING .SO THIS WOULD SURLLY BE THE RELAY .WOULDN'T IT?

I'll have to look up the wiring, but if you can't turn off your wipers or use the jets, than it could still be the stalk as both the actions are controlled from it.  Can you change the speed of your wipers? Or pull down to Intermittent?  ???

Intermittent is via the relay, still think it could be the off position on the stalk, but then with the washer jet problem too?  ???  If you can afford a relay I'd get one to see.  Might be worth unscrewing the covers around the steering column (3 screws) and just check that there's nothing loose there.

samco probably have tried this but is the motor on the washer working ie making a noise if not just check the motor by wiring to battery to rule it out
