Cubby hole below radio?
« on: 02 June 2009, 10:50 »
Does anyone know whether the standard 1-DIN cubby hole can be fitted below rather than above the radio?

Thanks

yes it can.

personally i'd say fit it above otherwise when you use your cup holder, you can't use your stereo.

Thanks Ridg! My cup holder is broken at the moment, so I think I'll leave the radio on top until I get around to fixing it.

I have done on the motorway but not often. On saying that though I have gone to use the one that ISN'T there in our A3 before so I guess I would miss mine in the Golf if it broke!!

I wouldn't dare use it as i keep my car like the dya it left Germany and i'd be worried of spilling coke all over the place not to mention breaking my head unit!
