I think most MK5s are still in lease ownership, so the owner doesn't give a crap about the scene.

I've given a few drivers nods and got them back, I don't think they like to be associated with waving people, especially if they don't know you!

As for the Xenons, not yet, which I'm surprised about as I find a lot of OE kits are crap at levelling!

a year ago the E30 drivers were nodding to each other, not any more, many GTIs and E30 around now. But we look who's in the other car!

don't wave!!!  its an earnt privelege for "scene car owners"  !! but seriously, if the car is obviosuly modded then its worth a nod, otherwise as said it'll be just a geezer in a car... if you owned a corsa would you wave at people??

We used to wave when we had a Ford Ka (but they were brand new then)

Z3 and Z4 drivers wave, and also have a good forum and owners club community

I thought Vdubbers were the same?

When one encounters a fellow Mk 5er?

Yes one should.  And one will find that in 90% of cases, one will either be ignored or looked at like one has a mental problem

....But we DO have a mental problem! We haven't grown up yet, and loooong may that last!!

This is the VW wave (while twisting the wrist) : -
