G69 is throttle position sesnor, have a look at the wiring to the throttle body, they run along the back of the inlet and get cooked by the exhaust.  did you clear the codes first and recheck?
could be an old code that wasnt cleared after problem fixed

i just plugged my vag-com 409-1 into my car it came up with position sensor to short or to open to ground, what evar that means but would this cause the problem i have with the car??????

Sounds like its refering to the crankshaft position sensor not sure if it would cause a missfire but when i had problems with mine on my old 16v it would keep causing it to cut out and in the end it eventually wouldn't start at all.

Ooops i stand corrected!

have you tried scanning it with the engine running?

Mels polo showed the crank shaft sensor to give this problem of stuttering, but when the engine was running it didnt show the fault code as it didnt have the sensor fitted to it at all. But presumed it did when it was off? If that makes sense.

Yeah, mine would judder at any speed and then sometimes cut out aswell, i would then have to wait a few mins to get it strated as it would just turn over. I have changed all the plugs and leads and air filter and that seems to have cured the juddering and stalling but still sometimes it wont start :/

Going to change ecu relay next

GET VAGCOM  of ebay and run it through a laptop well easy and cheap to use cost me £13 better than £80 at VW, you get the cable and disk thats how ai narrowed it down to my wires on my poss sensor.
