INdeed, i agree its not amazingly modified.

But show me another mk3 on this forum that is cleaner? that dont have rusted arches/sills panels.

Jacking points and underside that aint buggered.

And that has an engine that idles.

All im saying.... As obvisouly people are hating on me from this thread....

Mate I'm sure there are plenty, mine being 1. Also if we all spent the value of our cars on a respray then we would all have spotless cars!

Thats not the point, I would never spend that much on a respray however if you like a car and plan on keeping it for a very long time why not.

Might write it off tomo, lifes a gamble.

But dont sit on a forum in your spare time dreaming of things. Make them happen!!

And dont hate on others that make them happen.

The point is Mikester has taken something that was just an average car and made it something pretty epic, not many of us on here can say the same, I know for a fact he wants it to be a show standard car, and show standard cars have to be sweaky clean most of the time.

My GL turns heads and gets compliments, Guy gets great comments on his car, kells has had so many about his, everyone can have a "spotless" car but not everyone has a "spotless" car, there's a slight difference.

And just would like to point out, and Wayne this isn't aimed at you, this is for everyone thinking along these lines, if he wants to, and can afford to spend that on a respray he can, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, I'd do the same if I was keeping a car for a long time.

+1

if you're happy with the car and want to spend money on it then go for it. i'd love to have mine resprayed (god knows it would love it too  ) just can't really justify spending that at the moment....

Mike, the car looks great mate. comp alloys are really gonna step it up too.

enjoy
Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?
