MAFs CAN throw up an engine code if they are totally knackered, my mates 2.0 did.

It might be worth you disconnecting the battery for 10 mins or so to let the ECU reset everything, it might sort it out
Tried that as i disconnected the battery for the bora loom

Right just had it on VAGCOM

Got a code 17766 (not on rosstech wiki...) says Cylinder 2 open circuit. So swapped it with 1 and that fault code moved to cylinder one.

So th pattern part Mr RAC gave me may be dodgy. No engine light on way back though...so maybe them codes are from them being pulled out?

It was replaced by RAC so I'll get them to refund me and splash out on a genuine one instead, although I'm not sure why the code isn't the usual one. I still think I've got MAF problems as well!

Getting a cheque back from RAC so put a genuine VW coil pack in today. I'll getit scanned tomorrow to see if any codes are up. Still not boosting properly though.
