Is it ok to run my 1.8 agu engine on optimax 98 rom fuel or will it only run on 95 rom

lol it will run fine on 98 RON.

FYI - Optimax was the OLD Shell premium fuel. Its now called V-Power and is 99 RON. Your 1.8T wont be designed to run on it so if you will see much of a difference in power is arguable. Bare in mind it will take a good few tanks for your ECU to adjusted to the increase in RON.

Good luck finding any Optimax these days!!

Your ECU will automatically adjust to the RON rating of fuel you use, but will probably take a good few tank fulls to fully adapt.
