FUEL GRADE

Is it ok to run my 1.8 agu engine on optimax 98 rom fuel or will it only run on 95 rom :undecided:

lol it will run fine on 98 RON.

FYI - Optimax was the OLD Shell premium fuel. Its now called V-Power and is 99 RON. Your 1.8T wont be designed to run on it so if you will see much of a difference in power is arguable. Bare in mind it will take a good few tanks for your ECU to adjusted to the increase in RON.

Good luck finding any Optimax these days!! :D

Your ECU will automatically adjust to the RON rating of fuel you use, but will probably take a good few tank fulls to fully adapt. ;)
