Jetex exhaust system or similar
« on: 15 May 2009, 22:28 »
Going to be needing a 2.5" system. looking around, jetex seem to be the only company i can find that do a mk3 system in 2.5"

was looking at getting a custom one made, but i can get the jetex system from speedbox for £250.

any others company's you guys recommend that do a 2.5" system for a mk3?

also, anyone on here got a jetex system and got any comments about them? i heard nothing but good news about them. whats the loudness like? i heard there are meant to be quite quiet for a performance exhaust.

cheers :)

ive got one on mine, sounds just about right and i can make it louder by replacing one of the boxes with pipe. The quality of them is good in terms of construction (welding ect). But on mine it doesnt fit right i have tweeked it so its better but still not centered right.

talked to miltek at japfest and they said they dont do a 2.5" system because any bigger than 2.25" you start to have problems with the exhaust hitting the rear beam, especially on lowered cars.

anyone have this problem?

Yes.  I'm currently battling to find a way to stop the "clang" when I go over big bumps.

Don't you have an 8v though? That'll be 2" rather than 2.5"
