Ah well never mind, my Dad'll be chuffed to be featured. Just spoke to him and he still has the hire helmet as he couldn't find anyone to return it to.

Popping the track wheels away to day and thought I'd get some shots of the wear.

All together.

Both rears look like this, not bad just loads of lose rubber picked up on the in lap.

Drivers front, a bit worn but still plenty of life left in it.

Passenger front, oh dear.

i wonder how long you can run them as 'slicks', its just getting them to wear evenly thats the problem.

silverstone was a bit 'abrasive' wasnt it

That front one is about 3mm smaller on the outside, if you roll it along the ground it just goes in circles ha ha. I reckon it's only got about another 3 - 4 mm before you'd hit the canvas. I'm going to bin it and pop a brand new one on that side and leave the rest as they are.

Looks to me like you need to add a touch more camber in there, Mr Horne.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Well this afternoon I got the screwdriver and stanley knife out. No more pillar trim, hand grabs, sun visors and only half a head lining. Reckon that lot weighed close to a KG on it's own!

Need to get rid of the sun roof next. I've found the cause of the few spots of rust on my roof though. The sunroof framework is a bit rotten inside and it's spread up through the roof panel. Will have to sand it all back and treat it once the framework's out. Might repaint the roof as well and make it chequered.
