He's not helping. I was worried enough with Mew's cryptic post!

So after Mew's revelation of the very interesting article I thought tonight I would have a nosey through the history folder.

Erm I a bit shocked!

Engine - £3K ish with the management
Suspension - £600 including all the poly bushes
Exhaust - £400

£4K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's so special about the engine and the management, then?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Nothing earth shattering just expensive.

The bottom end is a C&R 1.9 which the receipt says was £1800. The manifolds were £300 combined. The head was £500 and the Vsam-Pro unit was £400. Plus gaskets etc which were another few quid.

I'd be surprised if you weren't pushing 140 bhp with that little lot!

it did feel similar to a standard 1.8 16v, but with a bit more mid range maybe, it is noticeably faster than the 1.9 8v that came in mine  :afro:

lots of bits there to whack on ebay when you step up to the abf

Indeed although I'm quite partial to it as it is. I'm not over keen on the Vsam Pro though and I'm toying with the idea of some bike carbs instead.
