Well having spoken to Marcus it looks like I'll be dragging it out of the garage and up to the workshop in 2 - 3 weeks time. Then it's angle grinder time!

Yup, getting the one from Retro GTI that the Golf GTI Champ boys use. Should be landing mid feb.

looking on their website, their cage drawings are the same as custom cages but 2/3 the price! I wonder if he is just straight copying them  :grin:

I didn't notice that. Mind you Retro GTI's price doesn't include VAT and CC's might.

cc are plus vat as well. I'll have to check yours out when you get it and order the same one if its as close to the shell as the cc multipoint one is. If they are the same thats a nice saving  :cool:

Also after:

* Alpine white bootlid with or without glass.
* Front valance, ideally white but not fussed.
* Early style rust free doors, ideally white.
* Bottom drivers side corner under the windscreen from anyone breaking a MKII.


Ideally located in the south as postage is a bit horrid on stuff that size.
