afaik, thats an SPI, single point injection. not a GTI.

I would think that is a 1.6 or 1.8 SPI unit.

Yes maybe but the cylinder head could or will be different.

im guessing i wont be able to fit my digifant stuff to it without getting a new manifodl etc then?

And its a left hooker from the photos. But as I said in the previous post. The Spanish will not accept that engine in your car as it is a different engine code. You can modify your engine to a degree, but it must retain the original code, ie, PB, PG, KR, ABFetc. Yours will be a PB.
