ATTN: Nick & Ben

Hi,

I got my mk4 golf remapped from you guys like 3 weeks ago, I've noticed fuel consumption is very low, i'm only getting 5 miles per litre, I don't think it should be like that as per my knowledge by remapping, I should get more fuel consumption and more BHP.

need your advise, thanks!

So about 26mpg?? are you booting it everywhere??
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Hard driving will give you 16-26MPG,
Driving with the correct manner that map on your car will return 33-37mpg with.  If your MPG is that low , then it mean you have an issues along the line some where, Boost leak, MAF fault, lambda sensor, etc which is causing the low MPG.

ben,

this picture is taken today while i was on M1 going to London and driving in fifth gear, I get same 26.6 MPG reading even if my car is in stationery position.

when i got remappped done, you checked my car first with vag-com to see if there were any errors but everything was fine.

easy one this mate

hit the button on the bottom of your wiper stalk

what you're looking at is your LONG TERM AVERAGE MPG as denoted by the number 2 in the corner of the display

i think we can chalk this one down to driver error

i use the no1 trip which resets two hours after ignition off - that shows you your current trip MPG - try that and report back what it says

your miles to empty is based on that long term average and your current driving style - if you hold down the reset button and reset the computer, then take it out you may find that the range will go up as long as you drive like a vicar everywhere
