gurgling noise

my 16v is starting to make a gurgling noise from what sounds like behind the dash in front of steering wheel when it happens it loses power only used to happen when cold but has done it when hot sounded like something caught in the fan in air vent

if its losing power wouldnt that suggest an air leak in a vac hose??
just an idea?!
mine does that but mine isnt in great condition at the mo!!
i get alot of condensation in the crank case regulating valve - loads of mayoee stuff?? have ya checked that??
has the rubber seal for the above torn in half... like mine?? lol
mine is an 8 valve, so just thought i'd try and help
