Canon 500d, what a beast of a camera! HD video
« on: 30 April 2009, 23:48 »
  Just been playing with a Canon 500d Full 1080p HD from the beast, nice camera as well. Another camera to add to the list of decisions to be made.

Attention competition, the world just moved 6" to the left. Thanks k bye.

Looks nice but only really worth the cash if you really really want HD video and TBH a DSLR is hardly the comfist thing to use as a camcorder. I think the whole video thing is just a gimick to get people to buy into DSLR's when upgrading from a compact or bridge camera. I doubt it's feature they'll be building into the prosumer and pro DSLRs.

I'll just get my hat and pop some ketchup on it.

Mmmm it was very tasty but a little chewy. I best check these things out more in future as a hat only diet will be bad for my constitution.

Still going to be compressed with a codec at 1080.  Not needed on a stills camera, and wont produce the kind of results you would see from a Sony Z5E or similar, so not really worth getting excited about.
