Never knew that one, perhaps its because you're not necessarily at a permanent address?

go with bell, but make sure you do it online, not over the phone. my m8 is 22 and tried it but they didnt let him (over the phone). im 19 (18 when i took out the insurance), and i got it online and it was an option, only an extra £30 or so. i have been pulled by the police and had to produce my insurance at the station to prove it (as police didnt believe me, said i had to be 25). Anyway, it was all good, all legit.

Its awesome, and i am going to miss it when i change insurers.

p.s. changing insurer due to my conversion, not because i wasnt happy with bell.

nah, bell wont even offer it online, when i click the option, they want an extra £149 and tell me to ring them.i rung and they said i had to be over 25. Spose il have to go with HIC they quotes me £500 a year, im 21, a student, 3 years driving and no claims. I would have hoped it would be cheaper tho!

Yeah, it has recently gone up to £149.

As a lot of people i know just insure there dad on X car. Then insure themselves with 3rd party on a 1.1fiesta of something. And drive the X car with like $$$$$bhp. lol.

Although its only meant to be for emergency use, the police cant really say anything if they pulled you over every day of the week :/
