I've got eibachs on mine with standard shocks. Lowered it 30-40mm. Smooth ride (not too harsh), and now handles beautifully (less wishy-washy than with stock setup).
Pricey, but good quality I say.

Thanks for all your replies, with money in mind I think I'll go for the Eibachs on standard shocks. Then again I might just go the full hog and get coilovers put on, decisions, decisions

Coilovers are great if your budget will stretch. The ride may be a bit harsh for everyday driving though, unless you spend the extra, and get adjustables.
