but alan - if its just a Weekend Toy - classic policy with VERY limited mileage is the way ahead  :wink:

Well, it would be just for weekends, I put down 5k a year as I would want to use a bit lol.

To be honest I really dont think I have the money to have both :(

Aon charge around £200 for 6000 miles a year. I just got my driver insured for £127 with unlimited mileage!

how the hell did you get insured on a mk5 with mods declared then? as soon as you mention a remap you'd send insurance companies running from you.
