Nuh thats not how i have done mine. By doing it that way the N249 is still in the vacuum loop for the DV from what i can see unless you have altered the other end of the hard pipe that your top T piece is connected to (the one where the reservoir used to be). That DV would now be operated by the FPR line but the N249 is still seeing what is going on. This could be why you had an overboosting code come up.
I dont have vag-com so i cant say if mine is bringing up faults or not but from first impressions i am impressed. When i let off the throttle i seem to have a much bigger dump of air instantly rather than a smooth dump of air. (must have been where the N249 was opening the DV)
I will take some pictures and make a quick guide on how i did it when i go outside in a bit.
