That looks pretty tastey - what did you paint the needles with? They look the same colour as my VDO gauges!

Incidentally, what headlight bulbs do you have in?

The white looks quite nice really, out of interest, how on earth did you do your elec window switches? I mean the LED fitting is easy of course but whenever I tried to put the switch back together it would go 'soggy'

I tired so many times and gave up and bought new uns from vw

The window switches are tricky and easy to put back together wrong.

I took the photos for it ages ago to write a guide but I never got round to doing it. I'll dig out the pics and post them ;) I found the only trick with them was re-assembly, if you put them together that the slightest wrong angle, the metal track inside would flip sideways and the switch wouldn't work.

it was very tricky kittie and like ben said if they went in at even the slightest wrong angle it was a b*itch to get em back in properly but i kept doing it until it was done! lol

Yes please do post pics it would be useful if the bulbs ever die!

I was also pretty miffed because when I bought new switches they were all slightly different shades of green and I find this rather irritating

i found that when the top went back on the switch the bulb would bend in some way if the wires were too short moving them out of place and making them look dimmer.

its all about the positioning of the bulb for the brightness of the bulb plus the actual bulb

White looks nice matey!

Ive gone back to originals as i can dim the bulbs and cant on leds.

An easy way to assemble the electric window switch....

Before you put it together. remember to clean those dirty contacts inside the switch.
Put the opened up switch in a vice length ways. close the vice so the switch case bulges slightly. This gives enough room for the switch cover to clip in and the two metal plates dont fall out of place inside.
