A late 8v or in particular the run out model tend to have roof arials, run out models also have the 16v interior, rear lights & RA's.

ive got a runout model and it has a wing mounted aerial, i also have the relevant sales brochure for the car and it says in there they have wing mount aerials

Oh well you must have the Monday production car and I must have the Friday one, can i just ask if it's 3 or 5 door?

Thanks for your reply, it has 140 clocks but that have been changed by previous owner since its mot last september so not sure if they're normal. What is a rainbow interior? This is what I have......

Your is just the before the run out edition same interior as mine, rainbow interiors are usually found in 16v MK2's, the very late 8v's of the production line were known as the 'Run out model' which had the 16v interior/tinted lights/BBS RA's.. Ohh and by the sounds of it numerous arieal mounting positions..

5 door, I took the grommet out of the wing and had a closer look, I reckon it had a wing ariel as there is distortion around the hole like it had been bent towards the windscreen. Jan 91, so not a runout I guess.

I'd be interested if anyone knows about the car (good or bad), this is it. its been in the Fareham/Swindon/Cheltenham area over the last 3 years. Before 2006 it had the reg D8 SSM.



Its had a few knocks over the years & going to need a bonnet, osf wing and poss. a rear panel eventually to get it up to scratch. (LA9V BTW). It runs really sweetly on original block at least, with circa 160k. Just wish the weather was better so I could get on to it.

I owned it about 6years ago, i stuck it backwards through a wall and into a tree, the shell was beyond repair and i sold it for spares, must of been reshelled at some point

I just cra**ed myself!  esp. as 'car-data' said no write offs!
Particularly effective as it's had work done at the rear and has a LO41 back bumper..............

I must remember to scrolldown quicker.
