What have you done to your Golf today?

well I started to attack some rust patches on the doors... so far they are de-rusted and have a small amount of primer on them, just need to think about how to paint them properly! (pay someone and get them done right first time or have a go myself?)

The bottoms of the doors are easy to paint yourself as you have a nice big bit of trim to work up to, i did the nearside door bottom and lower quarter last spring and it still polishes up nice.
I waited for a really nice sunny day and just built up the layers nice and steady then used some top quality laquer to finish.

Welded a repair panel in at the back of the o/s sill today, so much grinding, wire brushing and welding involved.

ordered some bonnet struts

fitted a replacement leather interior into my mk3 cabriolet daily thanks si

Removed the front window tints

Topped up the low gearbox oil..

Replaced front 16v badge and rear GTI badge with new ones

fitted some all clear rear hella lights

dropped it off at bodyshop for 2 new wings being fitted and machine polish,he's also gonna stick on his ramp to search for knocking noise from o/s front wheel,then its round the corner for new checkered roof vinyl

I walked past it and felt a little stab of guilt, having driven around all week in our E46 Touring family wagon. 
Golf will get a clean and a good run over the weekend.
