Abandoned in the pub carpark after failing to start when I went back to collect it.  :evil: Happy birthday to me.... :rolleyes:

Yeah Sunday buddy. Out Saturday, car is in pub carpark parked next to another abandoned Mk2 :grin:. Fortunately the owner is understanding and I'm going back down today to see if I can get it sorted. Fortunately me being me I have a few spares to try.

had puncture fixed on the mk3

had tyres removed on winter alloys for mk4 ready for refurb  :smiley:

Tried to fix my fault code 17705 , ordered some more bits , another 100 quid at mr vw,  :laugh:
But upset a bloke in a new passat , who tried to give it , showed him haha then slowed down waited for him ,

Drove home like a saint and got 40 mpg in the GTi, not bad over 100 miles down the A5, then changed my rear pads and was thouroughly disgusted a proper garage can sell a car in such a state, should've looked more carefully to be fair but still not impressed!  £30 on a caliper winding tool was a ballache too but was impossible without it!

purchased a 24mm whiteline adjustable rear arb to compliment the 21mm front whiteline arb i bought a while back
