well ive stripped my 8v bare and ive had 2 valvers off the line, so IMO if u dont feel u need carpets and seat and trim, save ure self some money and lots of fuel and get an 8v

I currently own own a 16V i've previously owned 3 MK2 8 valves 1 MK2 16 valve and a MK3 16V (ABF) - Out of all these models I prefer the Mk2 16 Valve.

It's got loads of low end torque and a top end fizz.

16 Valve MK11 = Awesome IMO

don't get me wrong I loved my 8 Valves but the 16V is just that bit more punchy!

meh, id probably have a valver if i had the money, im just sticking up for what ive got lol. but i do know that modding a 8v is cheaper and they are better on fuel and insurance.

insurance i'll agree on.   16v's can be very good on fuel but when poked they do drink it rather quickly.

tho i removed loads of stuff mine is proably still about stock weight due to the stuff thats been added.   tho is very amuseing when ppl try and race at the lights.     can has ALL the traction

The 8v only feels like it has more torque as the curve is flater, simple as that

It depends on the roads you drive and you've driving style. As Arsene Wenger said (I know I hate having to Quote a gunner!) Every one thinks that they have the most beautiful wife at home. Persionaly I can't wait till I can aford 20vT power! Well I'll keep dreaming.

yeh i like to dream, but i think i can realisticly drop a 2 litre bottom end in and scrounge up some dosh for some head work, its the cams and carbs i cant afford

I'm caming and gass flowing the head with 4branch manifold this summer. Thinking of N20 next,might be a laugh!
