What interior ??
« on: 29 March 2009, 18:27 »
Evening all...

Well after attending the GTI Fest at Santa pod, today I was looking to acquire new interior for my resto project mk1 gti, however couldn't really find anything worth buying if I'm being honest, either that or front seat were available but not back and vice versa...

So can anybody help me, other than having my current interior re-coevered (£1K+), was looking at what other options I have...

IE:-

VW Polo ?
VW Golf Mk2/Mk3/Mk4 ?
Audi A3 ?

Anybody help with what will fit, even if I have to mod them a bit....  I have a feeling it's more to do with size rather than fittings though ??

Cheers for any info/advice.

porches seats look ok but been done loads now how  about 820 rover recaros there have a retroish pattern. retrimming is the best option though as it gives you the unique touch
corrado 16v lowered,leather,grill,oz route,m3 lights polished engine,
mk1 golf cabby not alot done but in primer

Cheers for the reply Tyler...

Best quote I've had is £750, for front and rear seats, door cards and carpet...  Not too bad I suppose, could just do without spending the money if I'm honest.....

Oh well the countries debt is rising so why shouldn't mine lol

Try and find a Sportline cab interior? About as good as it gets for OE mk1 stuff.

Other than that, find a set of rough front elec mk2 Recaro's and get them and your existing rear seats and door cards done totally to your spec.

Choices, choices... :)
