WHY don't you/we get one of those ASTRA satellites and watch the feed from another country.  I know a lot of countries take the BBC commentary, but there must be an English language commentary from another country.

I'll look into this.

You can watch the RTL (Germany) coverage on ASTRA.

Yes it's in German, but we get to see more of that bird that Brundle fancies on the pit walk.

oh well, will give up watching it altogether now. why bother with the bbc coverage when it's only half a season. bye bye f1 it was nice knowing you

Yep thats traditional F1 fecked for all of us whether you have sky or not, it will be changed beyond all recognition.
Lets hope they dont do a bad job of it or affect the actual event atmosphere if you happen to have tickets. (will that cost go up just like football?)

Still if they keep giving away all our good TV we wont have to pay our license money surely?

Used to pick up the f1 up link feeds on my motorised dish, the hard bit was finding the live feeds. They will use one if the astra sats, but could also pick up a feed from another free to air foreign provider.  It would only cost £80 for a fta box and 85cm dish.  I will have a look for the feeds when the next race is on live.

£80 is not bad. Is there nothing freesat picks up as I know that picks up some off the eurobird channels? My satellite knowledge is limited as my dads the geek in that with his Russian telly and motorized dish

I'm unclear what apart from the 10 full races will be on the beeb.
Is it highlights or full delayed? Reports are saying both.
Will all the races still be on the i player in full but delayed?
Will the BBC be showing any quali for the 10 sky races?
And finally , how can so much sh!t come out of such a tiny little man?

i think everyones being very vauge about it all just now, im pretty sure that i read somewhere that bbc have said they are only showing extended highlights of the races they dont have live coverage for.
BBC are definately showing the big races though, such as the season opener, Monaco, Britain and the final race of the season.
