So I've done all my rubbing down and filling. Would you spray Le Mans wheels with the centre caps in place, or would you spray them seperatley?

The reason I asked being that I haven't sprayed alloys before with large centre caps.
When you spray a large area like the side of car to get an even finish you don't take the doors off and spray them separately.
Thanks for the advice though.
