If they are leaking from the jets, are you getting some pressure build up in the system? or is the washer pump running? Its a simple system so should be failry easy to locate and rectify it
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

Went to the scrapyard yesterday, took the pump and tubing of a mk2 golf, and the pump, tubing and jets off a mk3 (including the pump connector.... why did that have to be different when its the same pump?)

Took out my pump, put in the replacement mk2 one, attached the mk3 lines to the washer jets on the bonnet... which have wires going to them so I think they may already be heated ones!  8)

Then got in the car, and pulled the wiper stalk forwards. Nothing. Tried it a few times, couldnt work it out... then walked round the back.... it would seem something was back to front.

I hadnt messed up refitting the tubes, but the bit that attaches to the bottom of the pump was facing the other way to the one I took off, so I had to jimmy it off, change direction and bobs your uncle.

Except it carried on coming out the back. It was then we realised that for some reason the pump was working on opposite polarity's to the one I used to have... so I had to disconnect the tubes and loop them round so they connected on different sides... and now all is well with the crying car.

and that, in short (or very long really) is why I dont do much DIY on the car... because it always goes wrong and takes ages!  ::)
