Awesome!

If you want to get into certain race series, it might be an idea to check the rules thoroughly to see what you can do to your car before you spend any money? :)

That's the good thing.  It's already fully specced for a now discontinued race series in Dubai, so is good to go.

The only problem is that the GTI is between groups in terms of performance in the local amateur Touring Car championship.  The turbo means you get hit with a 1.8 multiplier on the c.c. of the engine, so you're up against big engined race prepped cars.  It runs very well compared to the Clio Cup and 206 Cup cars, but as they're naturally aspirated they're in the class below.

Still, that's a good excuse to get around 400bhp out of it and have some fun....!

Wouldn't go for a CAI, wouldn't think you would gain much benefit as air temp might not be that different, espcially if it's a paper cone filter. Else if you use a SS cone, you'll more than probably have a problem will filtering out small particles.

Sounds like a great buy though!

I saw a few of these whilst I was out there the other week... we were setting up the Supercopa that TAM are running: http://www.revotechnik.com/community/events/revo_dubai.aspx

Problem you'll have is I assume you'd be up against the likes of the Supercopa running the same engine, but in a full race car. However it's all about having fun and at that price it'll be great. I imagine you're already in contact with Motaz and Mohammed from TAM, if not it's worth meeting up with them!
In regards the the filter, I'd look to get something from ITG with decent filtration for the conditions out there.
They are silly cheap for what you're getting... I know Tam had a couple in the shop whilst I was over, it'd be worth having a look as I'm sure there are a few of them out there up for grabs!

ATP 3071 kit????!!!!
