16v colours

hi there, i have owned my mk2 16v for 9 years now, and in all that time i have only ever seen 1 other car in monza blue like mine, are they that rare, or do i just not get out an about enough :grin: :grin:

Is it a factory color, or has it been resprayed, 'cause I think it looks stunning

deffo a respray, thats not factory,

calypso green, thats quite rare

ive seen a few monza blues,

saw a nice montana green GTD the other day :shocked:

I've only ever seen a few. I've never seen a big bumper monza blue, so I think it was only during the few years that 16v went into small bumpered models.

Not so.

there was a run of golfs with a bright blue metallic paint job from factory. Similar to colour above.

that isnt bright blue metalic, its a bit too 'blue'. plus car is too old to have been BBM

fairplay, although that car in particular looks more cossie or impretza to me

Agreed.

Look at the split window on front doors, pre 86/87 that makes it?? so an early mk2

Could be that latter end blue like suggested just sprayed on a rebuilt motor  :cool:

i stuck the big bumpers on myself, but i still only seen 1 other in monza blue, i seen loads of oak green, an they say they are vrare,
