If not then i suppose i will bite the bullet and actually start replaceing stuff..........just more to add to the never ending to do list i seem to have  :grin:

Just orderd a clutch kit and trailing arm bushes for the Rover  :undecided: more bloody work.

Ta for the links too, at least they are not pricey  :smiley:

Thing is, pressing bearings means removing the hub.... i hate doing things like that  :angry: hell id rather do the chains again  :laugh: i

i have used GSF with no problems for a year and half.

Yet i have never had a good transaction that didnt need to go back from euro car parts.

I got a Sachs clutch kit from euro car parts for the golf, it was right first time, and it seems to do the job.
Plus euro car parts is just around the corner from my work, and if i walk in there with my work cloths on they give me trade on the company account  :grin:

I thought a Sachs clutch kit for the Vr6 @ £70.00 was pretty good including Vat  :smiley:

Be very carefull to not overtighten them.

Rear bearings can be done at home fairly easily without a press. You can drift the old shells out, then tap the new shells in using a socket or the old shells.
Forget about replacing front bearings unless you have a press.

Lol, i had a mate that gunned up the rear wheel bearing on his Nova when we were at college....... his wheel fell off 1/2 a mile down the road  :laugh:
