Yea I was planning on getting the metal monkey sheets, and hooking up an LED circuit behind it

let me know how it goes as I will be attempting this in a few months, It should be pretty easy to hook some up behind it, then just mod it so no light can escape from other areas like around the dials etc.

This thread has got me thinking. Why couldn't you just make your own out of acetate?

So, I've mocked up the HVAC controls and pulled mine apart. My laser printer is be ghey and printing seriously dirty prints - so I'll need to get it printed elsewhere.

But here's the rough idea, remove the plastic clear insert, replace with an acetate print of below, and put whatever colour card you want behind it, then illuminate as normal.

Make anything you want really, dial back lighting, heater facia back lighting, whatever.

you could but the mk2 doesnt have backlit dials, thats why were thinking of the best ways to do it basically.
