lambda sensor
« on: 24 February 2009, 22:21 »
hi all ive been quoted £52.45 from gsf for a lambda probe anybody know of a cheaper place to get 1 from

also i'm changing the the following parts can a more knowledgable person tell me if i'm ordering the right parts to do the needed jobs
part no       part                         price
> 13109B    Cam belt                   13.00
> 13141       Cam belt tensioner    38.75
> 17058A     Water pump             29.95

to change the cam belt

> 93491      Coolant switch  4.25
> 93030D   Lambda sensor 52.45

to solve the problems with my car running like a bag of s**T (have connected it up to a mates snap on tool and it showed coolant sensor and oxygen sensor faults)

so what i'm after is are these competative prices and are they all the parts i will need?

thanks in advance Daz

t.b.h you could just get a universal lamda sensor that you use the exsiting wiring and crimp a new sensor on to it. dead easy to do too and about half the price.

as for the other stuff prices seem ok just make sure you give them the engine code when u order them to make sure they are right

also hav you tried euro car parts ???

yeah the lambda sensor price is right , i got one for my old gti about 1 1/2 years ago from gsf. simple to change. unscrew from the cat and follow the wire up and unplug.
