Hey everybody

I have a Golf mk4 1.6 16v year 2001. Only bought it a week ago and had the catalyst and joining twisty pipe replaced on thursday by Quickfit.

Saturday while driving suddenly a "EMISSIONS: WORKSHOP" message appeared. Now this messages appear every time I start the car. Also the yellow engine shaped light in the dashboard stays on after starting the engine.

The car drives fine even with the yellow engine light on.
Could there be another fault with the car or maybe Quikfit missed something?

Just bought the VAG-COM thingy from ebay to try n work it out myself but till then if anyone has any ideas or checks i can do! any help appreciated

the best thing you can do is take it back to the garage that fitted the exhaust and say that you are not happy with it and see if they can fix the problem

Take the car to the garage you got the work done and explain it to them, say the fault was caused by the fitting of the cat.
