went to change my thermostat and i got the top bolt for the housing un-done but was impossible to get the bottom one, anyone know what size allen key it is ?

Both the thermostat mounting bolts are the same size mate well they are on my car. Tho they could of changed the design slightly but i doubt it. ine is a 2000 1.8t if thats any help.
They are fiddily little feckers but you can do it

easier to use a 10mm socket on an extension just unbolt your alternator first to give room

when i tried i didnt un bolt the alternator so i just didnt have the space down there, whats it like unbolting the alternator then can it get technical or is it simple ?
