i have never been in anything other than a mk4, only passed a few months ago, hopped straight into mk4 2.0, then few months later into a mk4 1.8T not a bad car few problems as with all cars, i dont really look after it like i should, but thats just me.

Well my first car was a Citoren AX  ! I think VW's are great cars really but didn't really ignite the passion until I started working with a girl with a very subtle black Polo GTI running a set of Ronal Turbo's.

AX gts are nice though, sure the mk3 will turn out fine, lots of peeps will help find parts and give plenty of advice, most good some sh!t

My AX was an 11RE on an E plate, hardly a GT but it was funny. Taking a corner at 20 mph put it on its door handles.

Yeah, I've been reading posts on the forum for a while, looks like an OK place to be. Thanks for the encouragement with the car.

even the GT is a shed when it comes to handling, no problem when you get bits done send jv a pm and he will start a thread, i wish i was more into working on cars but i cant be bothered just goes in the garage broke and comes out fixed its the best way

I've always enjoyed working on cars but I've always enjoyed driving them too and you can't do both at once so maybe you're better off.

This ones for my little sis though, when I get going I'll let JV know

I have to admit I've had a read of your car thread and that is one tidy vehicle, if you don't mind I might have to investigate the smooth bumper look myself.

Doubt I'm going to achieve the smartness of your paint without a respray though, there's some serious depth going on there
