has anyone got pics or ever seen completely smooth boot?? (as in plate welded over number plate recess) does it look good or not???

I have seen a cab with the boot lid smoothed right out, and to be honest it really didnt float my boat. It just looked like there was too much blank space at the back, almost a bit, dare I say it, Nova-ish!!

I have to say I am so what jealous of the later model MK1 Cabs you all own, they are really nice. Might have to buy a later model cab as well...

dont be fooled by the classy looking newer cabs.  they've got it easy. early cabs will always be the best in my book, much harder to get a quality one

thanks Giddy, it look most of the afternoon to do, when there is only one person doing it. Does anyone know a really good car sprayer, I want to get the car completely repainted over the winter period...

I also had a look at some of the later cabs last ngt and this morning, I have to say I think I will focus on the old MK1 first and then get a cab in the winter period, save on money...

Did see a rather nice cab like Adam's - standard though, in the autotrader or ?2500 but it had gone already.. shame..

I don't really know of a good sprayer and it depends where you are, but if memory serves me right I think that tophuh's brother in law is a sprayer and I think S11EPS's mate is one too. Tophuh is around tamworth area and S11EPS is in Cambridge I think. They don't normally hang around in the mk1 section they are normally in the chats and mk4 sections, but you can PM them I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Good luck.
