DSG PROBLEM
« on: 14 February 2009, 11:47 »
Hi All

I'm having no luck getting my gti into anything above 4th gear in sports mode. It goes into 5th and 6th fine outside sports mode. Has anyone experienced this with their own GTIs and how much a fix would cost?

thanks

What speed are you doing when trying to get to fifth in S mode?

That mode likes to only change up at the uppermost rpm range so for fifth you'll probably need to be doing over 100mph.
Without traction power is nothing!

Alright Lads

Could have sworn I had 5th and 6th in sport for the first few months of driving. I even asked another lad with a GTI and he said he had 5th and 6th in sport. If not then happy days.

thanks

Best of going to the main dealer for this one.  Are you out of warranty?
