It say it would look pretty sh!t if you have leather in the front and cloth in the back.

If the car is there and has everything you want except the leather then either get it, as I think the tartan original MK1 style seats add a bit of character or wait for your perfect one.

An aftermarket leather retrim of the interior is possible but generally cost £1000 for a decent job!  You could buy leather seat covers and trim from VW but that would be even more expensive!

I quite like the cloth seats tbh  I'd love a set of GTI cloth seats as mine are the normal ones without a pattern.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

I would say leave it and wait - you'll regret it later on.

I found an ED30, exactly the options I was after and more, at a great price. Low miles and 2 years left on its warranty (57 plate). It was 300 miles away from me, but I dont mind travelling out for the my perfect match anyways.

The only reason I turned it down was because it was in black. I have a black car and dont want another. If it was in Silver/Grey/White I would have snapped it up straight away, but I feel black shows marks up quick and easy, and you easily see swirls and dirt etc - even though it looks awesome when showroom clean.

If I had of still went for it, I know later on I would have continued to wish the car was one of the colours I was after!

Dont rush the purchase. Its not a small one, and the right car will come along soon!

  catchphrase ossum!

agree with Alan here Matsu, the interlagos is the only interior for the golf GTI, leather is overrated imo & sticky in the summer and cold in winter (before the heated seats kick in)
if you have everything else you wanted and its the right money then just buy it :afro:

That is why I love the ED30 seats so much. Cloth, but with a touch of leather and comes with heated seats and lumbar adjustment
