Never not had a VW since I passed (had a mini i never got to drive when was younger)

'65 flat screen beetle (that never drove..)
96 polo 1.4  'open air'

and now my

97 mk3 gti 16v

The last non VW I owned was a Peugeot 405 MI 16. Brilliant car and totally underrated, there's a pic of it in my gallery.

I've only ever had two 1.3 golfs since i passes last year!!  The first one was a d-reg with only 50k on the clock and it was genuine :o :o

last non vw i had,
was a citroen ax and it was excellent
at been sh!t and unreliable and french

i still see it now and again drivin around i dont no how it still survives

A reg Austin Mini
D Reg Nova (shame of that what was i thinking  ???  ???)
68 Beetle Wow what a car :) (if only it had heating in it)
F Reg Escort
H Reg Escort
P Reg Punto
And my current daily driver my trusty old K reg Astra :), along with my mk3 16 valver of course :)

Totally agree with lewes.

Still got my 405 Mi 16. Handles like a dream, total comfort and much less noise.
About as fast as my Mk3 16v, little slower on acceleration, but then it is half a ton heavier!
Prefer it for long journeys.

Before that :-
405 GTX
Renault 21
Chrysler Alpine.
With various company cars in between
