Get a Forge one, bit more money but should outlast the car (especially if you want to remap later on).

I am not doubting the quality (along with the bling factor) of the Forge valve.  However, with the current "G" version, VW seemed to have nailed the reliability issues of the earlier versions.

If you want the OEM look, and have a K03 motor, then re-site the valve to the front of the engine for a fraction of the cost of the Forge - and I would reckon that any troubles (providing you do have the "G" valve) would be avoided.

Certainly sounds like the diverter valve. Vw have revised it again with the diaphram removed so high boost doesn't rip it anymore. I'm having it fitted on thursday as a precaution. £38 + vat

Ermmmmm - how can that be newer than the current "G" version????   Volkswagen do tend to know the correct order of letters in the alphabet!

<f/x on - mumbles>fcukin thick yanks<f/x off>

It's not a supercession in the typical sense, where the part goes from an A to B to C, like the original "G" valves were doing. It's a completely new PN that everything's being changed over to, so you can't just call it the "D" rev, since it's a completely different part number than the prior valves. There's a "D" rev of the 06F, and the "D" rev of the new 06H.

OK, I missed the change in part number - but that just confirms that this new valve is actually for the new Audi valvelift TSI engine (which is prefixed "06H").  It wont fit in our TFSI engines - if it were designed to fit our engines, then it would still have an 06F part number.  :nerd:

So I am still right about the yanks lack of intelligence!  :smug:  :smug:

If it is just a valve.. which is the most favourable recommended?

i will be keeping the car for a few years yet so want something durable unlike this vw one that has last only 25000 miles!

revision G is much better, unless there is this new one the US guys were on about.  Otherwise a Forge will do the job - more money mind.

But the forge one should last a lifetime...

Sorry, but I have to strongly disagree.  If it were to fit the TFSI, then it would DEFINATELY start with 06F.  VAG part numbers are not 'forwards compatible'.

EDIT: checked ETKA - it categorically is NOT listed for any TFSI engine.  It ONLY fits the TSI engine which has a completely different make of turbo!!!
