Is it usually Manual, DSG or both that split the turbo recirculation valve?I have a theory.
At around 2-3000 revs i can feel a dip in boost then it makes the whoosh noise constant, more so than it did before.I have noticed a difference in the sound, that being longer and also the minor power loss?

Certainly sounds like the diverter valve. Vw have revised it again with the diaphram removed so high boost doesn't rip it anymore. I'm having it fitted on thursday as a precaution. £38 + vathttp://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75232
