If you rock it too much, you'll turn it over. There is a nice blind summit at Sturminster Newton, where, if you know the road well enough and know hpw it curves at the top, you can get a nice jump with a soft landing, because the road comes up to meet you rather than you landing on it........er.........so I have been told! :lipsrsealed:
il get the notebook out

Pirbright bends :)

From Frimley to Guildford, or back from Guildford to Farnborough going the back roads.

I love night driving! Used to always just go for a drive in my car when I first passed, don't do it so much now I have a full time job :(

i love that road! if your coming from pirbright the right side of it on the downhill is awesome! cos its got 2 sides you can do laps

Good stuff :)

Kharekatoh, have you ever done Despeña perros? The mountain side road between Madrid and Cordoba? My 8v loved that road.

never. not even heard of it.
I started driving legally in the UK so i havent done much road driving in spain.

Ive got access to a clio V6 when i visit spain so i'l definitly be looking for fun, fast roads to tear up the tarmac. Will sometime also make a trip in the mk3 to spain, then i'l have some fun around madrid (you will have to take me to some good roads that you know) and galicia, which 80% of the roads are fast, fun corners.

just remembered a road that my god father used to take me through...It is the perfect road in my opinion.
It is an uphill road, about 4 or 5 miles long, with a combination of slow and sharp corners, fast sweeping bends and long smooth straights. The tarmac is as smooth as a track and it is a wide road, and the edge of the road, where the markings show the road, there is about 3m of tarmac left until you start to go on the grass in some areas, and dust in others. For me that is one of the best roads i know of. Thinking about it gives me a warm feeling inside.

B3081 does ring a bell, but I did not take much notice of the road identities. I had an Audi coupe back then. The old angular one rather than the jelly mould one.

You'd know it if you'd driven it - comes into Shaftesbury down Zig Zag Hill.

The B3075 that goes north from Wareham is proper entertaining - straight, but goes up and down like mad, so much so that you'll catch air if you step the pace up.

A68 from Newcastle to Edinburgh is a stunning rural drive, too. I've nailed that late at night with a sprinter van and a twin axle trailer before now.

A483 south of Newtown in Wales is worth a mention, too.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Is that the way you brought Matt's gti home? He said it was quite an entertaining ride

I love driving at night. When I had finals exams in the last year of uni, I used to go out once or twice a week and drive aroud to relax. It'd be around midnight, and coz it was summer, the nights were cool but not cold so I'd drive around with the window down.

Loved it.

Might go again this weekend. Never done a night cruise in the mkv.

FERRYPORT

Quote from: LazyLunatic
HAHA, well those that know it will know it is mainly infested with chavs and stuff, although there is odd dub appearance.

last night, got bored so followed a car around that my m8 said he knew, name is john, in his mums 4x4 thingy (grand vitaro??). turns out he got scared and i had the whole of the ferryport crew looking for my car!! i mean wtf!!!!!!!! its a bit sad that that "crew" took it that serious.

anyway, went back down there in my mates car and talked the peeps (m8 knew some of them) and they said they were looking for a red mk3 with primered bumpers lol. i talked to him about that, and said "yeah thats my m8, he cool, dont know why your chasing m8!"

later on we found him again, by chance, he stopped the 4x4 in the road, jumped out and whipped out a police kosh and came to the car. haha wtf?!?!

anyway funny as f**k and quite an eventful.

:)
