standard vs re mapped

hi all i have a completly standard 1999 mk4 18t im thinking of getting it mapped but how much quicker is a mapped one over standard .

Awaits replys. It will be alot quicker think the remap will give you 195bhp on your engine.

Golf SOLD. Replaced with a Yamaha Raptor 660 quad and loving it. This will be replaced in August with a Raptor 700. Sold the quad now got a Vectra GSI 2.5 V6 and its the nuts.

Brands Hatch massive. MEMBERSHIP ACCEPTED!

I had my AGU remapped by R~Tech yesterday and i couldnt be happier with the car.

Not only does the additional power and torque make a huge difference to the outright performance but the power delivery is also much smoother, has a much crisper throttle response and the car even feels better off boost.

The remap is available for only £150 at the moment. Do it!

Total transformation, mate.  Get on the blower to R-Tech.

0-60 from 8.5 secs to late 6's. 8)

To my knowledge its £150 + call out charge. Dont know what the call out charge is.

Got them to remap my MK5 and am a happy bunny.

Yeah lol

They have diffrent engines to start with. Mine is a 2.0T running 200bhp as standard and is now putting out about 250bhp give or take and the MK4 is a 1.8T running 150bhp standard and puts out about 200bhp give or take after a remap.

Thats the long and short of it.

So as standard is the MK5 about the same as a mapped 1.8t or is this where torque comes into it?
