Wow lads!!! Thanks for the heads up laser blue

I thought I did check out his feedback! I didn't see any evidence to the contrary! Right I need out of this sale immediately!

I will demand proof of them being stamped correctly, however there's no guarantee that he won't just take pictures like the above from here or elsewhere and insist on them being real and then sending the fakes! Sh1t!! Right have to contact eBay immediately!!!

Haven't parted with a penny yet so at least that's ok only thing I need worry about is backing out!!

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

Laser, I just sent the seller a mail stating the fact that he sold similar wheels previously and that these were proven to be fakes and in the light of previous misrepresentation of similar product I would not be proceeding with the order. Did you report it to eBay at the time? May need you to pm me with any details if I have to take this further...... Grrs I mean why lie ffs!! What a twit!

Yeah i did contact Ebay they said try and resolve the issue with the seller, but as i did not pay via paypal i was not covered and most they could do is make a note of it..

Its just a pain in the ass that i also left him good feedback without double checking the rims over

Also the alloy in his photo is a genuine bbs rim as you can see the edges are more to the circumference of the rim

He also sent me out vw center caps that are poorly made, PLUS original wheel locking nust did not fit and i had to purchase new ones 60 something cause the guy at my local tire shop said it would be dangerous to fit nuts that sit bent in the rim so new nuts cost me £40.

Yeah, I didn't call him but he wanted me to contact him BEFORE making payment, no doubt to get me to avoid paypal and so my protection.  Actually that kind of behaviour is also frowned ion under eBay rules.  I am glad you notified eBay it will strengthen my case should this muppet try to force me to complete on the sale.

Phew so glad you found my post mate that was a luck break on my part!

Be careful people, it's a jungle out there!

Joking aside its not nice to see scum bags like this on ebay, makes you think twice about bidding on things.

The seller is getting annoyed with me now

He thinks the information I am getting from LaserBlue is pants, there is way too much doubt in my mind to conclude this transaction.  To be fair Lasers wheels looked good to me (in photos, not seen in flesh) but I WANT genuine wheels....simple eh? If an ad says Genuine VW BBS wheels then they should actually be that...or perhaps I am being old fashioned

May need more details from Laser if things turn more nasty, havent contacted the bay yet but I think another ebayers experience with the same product from the same seller presents enough doubt to make the transaction invalid.

The cheeky beggar is trying to push a £25 abortive sales cost onto me!

I have reminded him that the reason for the abortive sale is his misrepresentation of the goods! If he has any further communication with me of such a threatening nature I will pass all the details of my sale and laserblues interaction with VW who stated that these were NOT the genuine article.

Am I being unreasonable?

no not at all!!  And to the best of my knowledge that £25 abortive sale charge is bogus too.  I bought a set of alloys last week from the bay- later found out they wouldn't fit the car, so cancelled it with the seller, he was fine about it, he cancelled the transaction with ebay, and they emailed me to see if I agree to cancel- of course, I did, and that was the end of that.  There was no charge, no ramifications, nothing. Get onto ebay straight away, don't take any sh+t from this guy, just report him for selling fake goods- luckily they will be on your side, as they hate fake goods being sold on their site.
