i would prob say and someone correct me if im wrong  :smiley:

sort out a few bits on the engine first to handle the first remap, so 007p, dsg +airbox, forge TIP

then when you get the stage 1 should handle and deliver the pwer better, then i guess it would be a case of the exhaust, FMIC or SMIC and then biger brakes if your lookign at a stage 2

well thats what i would do  :smiley:

You will also need 4 bar fuel pressure regulator. You will need to get a different turbo aswell I would say. With everything on your list I reckon you will only be looking at 240bhp-250bhp?
Golf SOLD. Replaced with a Yamaha Raptor 660 quad and loving it. This will be replaced in August with a Raptor 700. Sold the quad now got a Vectra GSI 2.5 V6 and its the nuts.

With a target of 300bhp?

First of all, forget using any of the KKK turbos.. they're just too small to make 300 on a 1.8
Turbo - GT28RS or similar with manifold to suit, possibly RS4 maf housing and a big cone filter (panel/dsg/smoothing won't flow enough) .. custom downpipe into a decat or milltek sports cat 3" min.
FMIC (the forge smic won't cut it) you can put a custom one together with all the piping for less than a monkey
Sachs clutch

Mapping - do it in one go, at the end.. because this is where the knowledge of the larger maf housing and matching fpr/injectors will really come in handy.

After that
Leon cupra R brakes will stop 300bhp
At the very least a good stiff spring setup with matching struts to handle the extra weight getting thrown around - coilovers pref. (not £150 ebay ones)

like Topher said, its worth saving the remap to last as its pointless spending money twice as it could be used to go towards the needed turbo. Also upgrade to a 4 bar fuel pump as its ok having a 4 bar fpr but pointless if you cant supply the fuel to it.

Have a look at the APR stage 3 kit on awesomegti, it will give you abit more idea as to whats needed.

Car = 3k
Mods = 10k (including labour)

Total = £13k FWD car with 300bhp and is useless in anything but dry weather

or

Will piss over a 300bhp golf in every area (and any other 300bhp hatchback) and you will have change for a holiday!
