Horn stopped workin! MK1 cabby.

The horn has stopped working of my mk1 cabby, there is no power running thru the cable to the horn mechanism, the fuse is fine. Any ideas?

Also what are mk1 cabbys like with a mk2 16v engine? Does anyone know how much work like this would cost.

If you're pressing the horn and not getting any power to the horn itself I would suspect there is a problem with the contact between the steering wheel and the top of the indicator/wiper switch mechanism.

Cheers for the reply, i've stoken to my local VW dealer and the technician has also told me this is the problem.

Thanks for the advice, took the wheel off today and cleaned up the connections, now works a treat.
